Bright & Bold: Make a Wreath from Corn Husks

In Living on December 6, 2011 at 7:00 pm
A few days ago Martha Stewart featured this beautifully dyed wreath as her “Craft of the Day.” Since then, I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. That’s what normal people obsess about for days right? Wreaths? Good. Want to see how it’s made? It’s easier than you think and no sign of hot glue anywhere!
The individual corn husks are dyed and then pinned to a form. It’s the perfect craft for those who are looking for something bright, bold and modern with a slightly rustic feel.
There’s no greenery in sight and with proper care, this wreath should last you for years to come. Corn husks are ridiculously inexpensive (think $3 for a bag of 100+), especially if you know the right part of town to shop in. You can check out all the directions over at Martha Stewart.
