Iconic GIRL To Know: Sarah Jones

From her multi-character solo act in “Bridge and Tunnel” and “Women Can’t Wait”, it’s only right to highlight the super talented actress, poet and playwright, Sarah Jones.  She has a stage presents that blows people out of the water! The Tony Award and Obie Award winner has made many TV appearances on  Charlie Rose, The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, Live with Regis and Kelly, and Sesame Street as ‘Mr. Noodle’s Other Sister, Ms. Noodle’ on Elmo’s World.

 She developed her education at The United Nations International School and Bryn Mawr College where see planned to become a lawyer but her passion for poetry brought her to the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City where she was introduced to poetry slams.  

The multi-talented Sarah has made a lasting impression on many traveling the world as a delegate on violence against children, and performing for audiences from Indonesia to Ethiopia, the Middle East and Japan.  And we have to recognize one of her latest accomplishments…performing at The White House in celebration of Women’s Health Month (an invitation from Michelle Obama herself!). Sarah Jones is truly an Iconic GIRL!!!
